Seven months into my term as Constable of Big Rock Township, I am beginning to understand the potentials and limitations of the post better. For that reason, I am placing a couple of my projects on standby, awaiting more resources or better understanding.

Specifically, the effort to find a way of ending or even slowing the tidal wave of unsolicited phone calls is on the back burner. It appears to me that the only way to impact this intrusive and irritating practice is through national or state legislation. That is a long term, arduous task. If you know of friendly or potentially helpful legislators, let them know how you feel.

“Troubling questions concerning the system of violations, fines and collection remain unresolved for me and I will continue investigating” continues to describe my feelings.
