In June, 76 trips carried individuals to work and home, shopping, legal and medical appointments. Because of time constraints, this is a significant reduction from previous months.. That is unfortunate, as there are many others who needed transportation, but could not be scheduled. If you would like to help, please contact me at the number below.

Broken Windows Policing WITHOUT Police

Last month, this section concluded with, “Troubling questions concerning the system of violations, fines and collection remain unresolved for me and I will continue investigating.” Legal advice has been sought concerning the matter.

Training in Law Enforcement Procedures and Practices

I have no desire to wear a uniform, carry a badge or write citations. However, the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards & Training provides hundreds of on-line classes on topics related to police authority and I have taken and passed 50+ hours of them. Most of the credited hours I completed in June concerned Racial Profiling Laws and Training in Arkansas. If you have questions or concerns about policing in your community, give me a call.

STOP Unsolicited Phone Solicitations

Legal counsel stated that the chances of success of efforts to identify call centers which make the annoying phone calls is “slim to none.” Since the vast majority of such call centers are not located in the United States, the cost of litigation would be prohibitive. Also, the chances of successful prosecution are remote. That leaves open the possibility of action against American companies and individuals who use those annoying phone solicitations to drum up business. If you’d like to join in the effort to identify Americans profiting from unsolicited solicitations, give me a call.
