Transportation

The third month of 2025 and of my term included 148 Transport Events. The majority of these trips were to and from work, but 18 of them were for medical and legal appointments. There were others who requested transportation, but could not be scheduled. We need volunteers who can meet the needs that I cannot. If you would like to help, contact me at the number below.

Broken Windows Policing WITHOUT Police

This program is being reconsidered. Initial activity has shown that the number of individuals negatively impacted by Code Enforcement is smaller than anticipated and I am also unable to find a way to determine those who are impacted, but have limited abilities to correct violations. If a way to identify low-income persons is found, the program may be reinstated with emphasis in that area.

STOP Unsolicited Phone Solicitations

In March I logged more than 150 personal telephone calls from companies that I doubt are legitimate businesses. I certainly had not asked them to call me. I encourage anyone who finds those solicitations as irritating as I do, to keep a record of them. Perhaps we can find a way to encourage them to stop their intrusive business practices.
